ATTO 590 from ATTO-TEC is a novel fluorescent label belonging to the class of rhodamine dyes. Characteristic features of the label are strong absorption, high fluorescence quantum yield, and high thermal and photo-stability. Thus ATTO 590 is highly suitable for single-molecule detection applications and high-resolution microscopy such as PALM, dSTORM, STED etc. Additionally the dye highly qualifies to be applied in flow cytometry (FACS), fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) and many more. The dye is moderately hydrophilic. As supplied ATTO 590 consists of a mixture of two isomers with practically identical absorption and fluorescence.
